Not that long ago, I was relying on my own energy and healing story to sell what I was creating and it wasn’t working. I was pouring out my soul, and I was giving so much more than I was receiving. I was extremely frustrated, because my income wasn’t reflecting what I knew I was capable of. My potential clients weren’t signing up with me, and it felt like I wasn't truly being SEEN. When I was physically with my daughter, I was mentally with my business. (Not to mention the $20k in credit card debt I’d accumulated from hiring feminine business coaches who promised that “embodiment” and “healing” were the way to truly generate “aligned” income…) It finally got to the point where my husband and I had a very real conversation about me getting a “real job” outside of the house…AWAY FROM MY KIDS…and that’s when I knew I needed to make a serious change. What I was doing wasn’t working.
I dove in head first with the intent to incorporate masculine strategies and structures into my business. I hired mentors who I’d watched do the same, and I put my head down and got to work. I spent ~10 hours a week working on my business, and the other time present with my daughter. I developed my own simple frameworks that worked for me based on my vision of motherhood, and I simultaneously did the healing work to allow this huge shift to feel safe to my nervous system. I was determined to create a path that allowed me to reintegrate structure and masculine supports in a way that didn’t burn me out or take me away from my daughter…and I DID IT.
I now have a consistent income and flow of clients without being tied to my phone, computer, or business…unless I want to be! I get to choose when I work, and social media has zero power over me… I’m able to come up with an entire month-long content plan in less than 20 minutes, and the rest of my business flows just as easily. I have zero confusion, and so much more mental clarity. It’s been SO FREEING to not be constantly thinking about my business, wondering what I’m posting next or worrying about where my next client is coming from.
The ripple effect this has had on my life has been incredible. It’s a powerful feeling knowing that I’m creating generational wealth for my kids and providing them the same job freedom I have today. And, the fact that I’m able to be home and mentally present with them now while they're little means everything to me. My husband also has more time to be with us.
